FARMHOUSE

Cwm Howell is a large modernised detached farmhouse, built in 1864 and retaining many of its original features. It is set in over 8 acres of land (mainly woodland) and has stunning views over the Towy valley.

There is a large pond and running stream adjacent to the house and garden with chicken run to the rear. Collect free range eggs and feed our chickens (if you want!) Cwm Howell sleeps 8 comfortably but can easily sleep another 3 children or babies.
The lounge has solid oak wood flooring, with french doors opening to the rear garden and patio area and windows overlooking the pond.

A woodburning fire will keep you warm and cosy on chilly evenings. There is a 42" TV and DVD player.

With superb views over the Towy valley, Red Kite and Buzzard riding the thermals and our residential peacocks and peahens peering through the windows to arouse your attention.
There is a second sitting room / lounge with 3 piece leather suite, coffee table, wall mounted electric fire, music system and shelves stocked with a good variety of DVDs , books and games.
The large fully fitted farmhouse kitchen has granite work surfaces, tiled flooring and quality appliances including dishwasher, electric fan oven, ceramic hob, combination microwave oven, platewarmer, toaster and kettle.

There is an entrance porch and utility room off the kitchen with a washing machine and tumble drier.
Cwm Howell has a good sized family dining room with an entrance from the kitchen to make dining and serving food easy. This room has a tiled floor and solid hardwood table with leather seating for up to 8 people (highchair by request). There is a small wall mounted flat screen TV.
The farmhouse has a large entrance hall with entrance to the cloakroom, which is fitted with a modern WC and sink. There is a good sized area at the base of the stairs with tiled floor to match the kitchen and dining room. There is a window overlooking the front forecourt.
Cwm Howell has four double bedrooms all being of exceptionally good size.

The Master Bedroom is light and refreshing with solid oak flooring and having exceptional landscape views over the garden and Towy valley. The room is furnished with a SUPER KING SIZE bed, set of pine drawers, bedside cabinets and a built in wardrobe. There is a modern en suite shower room.
Bedroom 2 is another light and airy room with double windows overlooking the garden and Towy valley. This is a good sized family room furnished with a LUXURY electric operated reclining double bed, a single bed, large chest of drawers, shelves and built in wardrobe.
Bedroom 3 is a second family room finished in neutral colours and furnished with a KING SIZE pine bed, and optional z-bed depending on guests requirements. This room has white and walnut finsh set of drawers with matching bedside cabinet and has a large built in cupboard. Another room with a view over the valley and garden.
Bedroom 4 is a bright and modern twin bedroom with white and pine finished furniture and a large built in pine cupboard with plenty of storage and hanging space. The bedroom has views overlooking the forecourt and fields to the front of Cwm Howell.
The main bathroom has granite flooring, a bath with overhead power shower and bath screen, sink and toilet. There is an en-suite shower / sauna / steam room to the master bedroom and a further WC downstairs
Bed linen and towels are provided although guests are asked not to remove towels and furnishings from the premises.
Logs can be purchased from us at 7/sack
Central Heating - Oil fired cental heating from October - April.
Smoking is not permitted within the premises.
Pets/Dog Policy: we allow well-behaved pets at Rainbow Cottages at an additional charge of 20.00/week/ dog. We have a strict policy that dogs are kept under control at all times, not left alone in the cottages and that pet owners clean up after their dog(s). Dogs and their owners must not walk on the surrounding farmland in any circumstance and whilst walking on the main farm road, dogs must be kept on the lead. The cottage garden is suitably fenced so that dogs can be let off the lead whilst in the garden provided that they are not a danger or nuisance to guests who may be occupying the garden.
Garden: The large garden has outstanding countryside views over the Towy valley. There is a large patio area to the rear of the house with table, chairs, recliners, barbecue. To the side of the house is a 6 seat / 3 pump HOT TUB which is heated all year round. There is a large pond which is fenced off at the rear. There are side gates which if left closed can contain the children in the garden. There is a small bridge crossing a waterfall feature which leads to woodland. Parents of toddlers, Please note that the pond is not fenced off at the front of the house. Onsite parking: is to the front of the house and there is ample space for up to 3 vehicles.
